This panel includes the following vitamins/minerals: Vitamin A is a nutrient essential for healthy vision and immune function. Vitamin B9 (folate) helps make DNA, produces red blood cells and supports nerve and immune functions, reproductive health, the cardiovascular system, the brain and more. Vitamin B12 is a nutrient essential for the function of the nervous system, formation of red blood cells, and synthesis of DNA. Vitamin D is a nutrient commonly known to be essential for bone strength. Vitamin K is a nutrient essential in the formulation of coagulation factors that are needed to clot blood when injuries occur. Magnesium is a mineral that is an essential electrolyte for energy production, muscle contraction, nerve function, maintenance of strong bones and supports a healthy immune system.

Preparation

Fasting (water only) for 12 hours is preferred. Refrain from taking vitamins or mineral herbal supplements for at least one week before sample is collected.
