Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), also known as Direct Access Testing (DAT), allows you to order laboratory tests without a visit to a healthcare provider. Our service is here to enable on demand, consumer controlled requests by you, the consumer. The traditional method required setting up an appointment with your doctor, then visiting your doctor, then visiting the lab, then returning back to your doctor for results. The DTC or DAT process allows you to order your test(s) online and then view your results through your online account on our website at www.MEDIZYNE.com.

First you will select your test or panel. Once selected, you will be asked to set up your account and make payment for your purchase. You will then receive a copy of a requisition order which you will need to take to one of the labs (patient service centers (“PSC”)) listed in our website that is most convenient for you. You will supply a blood, urine or other sample (depending on the test) to the phlebotomist at the lab. Once the sample is provided to the lab and tested, we will receive the results from the lab. We will notify you via email once your results are ready. You can then simply log in to your account via our website or mobile site on your phone and see your results. No. We provide the service through our network of healthcare providers so that you do not have to visit your doctor. We will provide you with the requisition and results through your account at MEDIZYNE.

Yes, many lab test fees are tax deductible or are eligible to be applied to your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) account contributions. Check with the IRS for deductibility and your employer and/or financial institution for FSA/HSA’s eligibility.

You may request to cancel or modify your lab order/requisition within seven (7) days of the date of purchase. Cancellations, order modifications or any request for refund are only permitted prior to submission of blood, urine or other specimen to a PSC. If such cancellation or modification results in a refund, partial refund or credit, your refund will be returned to your credit card and reduced by $25 to cover processing costs. No refunds, partial refunds, or credit will be allowed or provided after seven (7) days of the date of payment. In addition, refunds, partial refunds or credit will only be provided to credit card users. Refunds, partial refunds or credit will not be provided for any other payment method. Any requests for a refund, partial refund or credit must be made to our customer service at info@MEDIZYNE.com.

You may modify your lab order/requisition within seven (7) days of the date of purchase. Order modifications are only permitted prior to submission of blood, urine or other specimen to a PSC. For changes or order modifications to your lab order/requisition, there will be an additional $25 administrative fee charged to your account for each change to your order/requisition in addition to the price of the test/panel ordered or modified. Any requests for modification must be made to our customer service at info@MEDIZYNE.com. If a modification results in a refund, partial refund or credit, your refund will be returned to your credit card and reduced by $25 to cover processing costs. No refunds, partial refunds, or credit will be allowed or provided after seven (7) days of the date of payment. Visit the “My Account” section at the top of the page or go to the “Get Results” page and create an account as required. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email and you will need to click on the link to confirm your account creation and activate your account. At this point, you may begin to place orders and access your requisition order(s) and results when available.

Yes, you can change everything except for your name and date of birth. If you do need to change these items, please email us at info@MEDIZYNE.com.

Due to security reasons, you must contact Customer Service at info@MEDIZYNE.com to recover your username.

To reset your password, go to the “Forgot Your Password” link on the “My Account” login page. Here you will enter your email address and receive an emailed verification code. Please note: As a security measure, you will only be allowed five incorrect login attempts before you will be locked out of the system. If this happens, please contact Customer Service at info@MEDIZYNE.com.

This service is not allowed to be ordered or administered to or for residents in the states of NY, NJ, MA, MD and RI nor is it available outside the USA. Additionally, if your test results are positive for the Hepatitis virus or HIV , we are required by law to inform the State Health Division of the state you live or reside. Finally, much of the required data we request is for verification purposes.

For certain tests, we need to immediately notify you if there are results that put your health at immediate risk.

First you can browse our Site for tests and panels offered and select the item or items you want to purchase. Then simply click on the “Add to Cart” button and follow the instructions. After you purchase the test, we will provide you with the lab test requisition form.

After you select and purchase your test, we will provide you with a lab test requisition form. This form is required to be provided to the clinical diagnostic laboratory and is used to identify the test or tests to be performed on a specific individual.

Typically we can provide you the requisition form within 24 hours but some may take 2-5 days. We will notify you via email once the form is ready and available for you to use.

Yes, you must print the form and take it with you to the lab (PSC) which you selected from our website.

Our lab test requisition forms are only valid for up to six (6) months from the purchase date at which point any unused lab requisitions/orders are expired and can no longer be used . All such forms will be purged. No refunds, partial refunds or credits or other accommodations, or other services or product will be provided as a result of unused lab.

Our website provides a locator for all of the our participating patient service centers (“PSC”). A PSC is where an individual provides the sample to the lab. To help ensure a safe experience during the testing process and to minimize the opportunity for error in the results, you may only use our lab test requisitions at a PSC or lab listed on our website. No, your order is paid in full when you pay us online when ordering your test.

Any special preparations are included in our website in the detailed description area for the test you have selected. Details may also be provided on your laboratory requisition form which will be made available to you through My Account prior to your lab visit.

With certain lab tests, you may be instructed to fast for several hours before your sample is provided. Fasting before a sample is taken means you don’t eat or drink anything except water. Once you’ve had your sample taken, you can eat or drink something immediately. Your lab test requisition will provide specific instructions needed for preparation.

Typically, your results will be available to you through your online account within 2 to 5 days of visiting the lab. The results are completely confidential and we will notify you via email when available.

Your lab test results indicate the normal reference ranges, with abnormal results specifically identified. You should discuss your results including any results that fall outside of the reference range with your physician or healthcare provider immediately and in the context of an overall health evaluation.
